Cabin Fever

As relieved as I am to have the day off of work I find myself being totally bored. Sure I could be doing dishes right now but who wants to do that? Or be productive at all really.

I was originally going to go shoppng but being that the temperature outside is in the negatives I decided not to. My Christmas shopping is almost complete other than Joe. (Why are guys so hard to shop for?) And a few little things here and there. I think I'll finish shopping when the temperature is at least above zero. So I'll take this time to catch up on some blogging.

Since we cancelled our cable Joe and I have been tvless. (tv les?, tv less?, tv lis?, I don't know.) But not to fear there is still the internet and dun dun dun....Netflix!! Netflix on the Wii no less. I like that they have a good variety of movies to choose from. We watched a German silent film from the 20's even. Pretty creepy. It was called "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari". I've also enjoyed a couple documentaries. But I'm liking all the television shows the best.

My favorite is Dexter. I've been a fan of Michael C. Hall since Six Feet Under. The show is really nothing else but brilliant. The character development and acting is superb. It's dramamtic, creepy and sometimes funny. A lot of people struggle with not kmowing whether or not to like the main charcter, Dexter. Mainly because he's a serial killer. But that's the beauty of the beast. I don't think you're supposed to know. He has a set of rules, a code as he calls it. He only kills bad people that hurt and/or kill others. Typically he goes after other killers. But I watched an episode recently where he took out a child molester. And judge me if you must but I say good riddance. I'm the type of person that watches the show and thinks, "Oh I hope Dexter kills that asshole next!". I'm on to season 3 and it's killing me that they only have season 3 and 4 on dvd only. Which means that they only send me one disc at a time. And it's killing me to wait. Speaking of which, I better send the disc back so I can get the next one.

I've also been watching Weeds. It's about a suburban widow that starts selling weed to pay the bills. I found seasons 1 and 2 to be great but 3 and 4 have been so so. Mainly the characer development of the main character, Nancy. She just does a lot of things that don't add up and don't make sense. It's like they don't know whether to make her a good mom, bad mom, poor widow, big time slut, or whatever. Also some of the characters from the first seasons are no longer around. Which is just stupid if you ask me. Also, they can't decide to be a drama or a comedy or a dramady even. I'll still hold out and finish. But most of the time I ask myself, "Ok really, they're doing that now? Wtf?"

Then of course there is Glee. A show where they sing and dance for an hour. What else is there to say? It's basically the greatest show ever. I also love the variety of music in the show. I'm hoping that Santa brings me season 1 for Christmas. I don't feel the need to talk long about it because well again what else is there to say? A television musical=awesomeness.

Maybe I'll start another series today since I don't plan on going far from my couch. Let's see what else is new in the world of me??.....????.... Oh wait nothing really I don't have a life. However, Joe's 30th birthday is on Saturday. We will be going to the Northern Quest Casino in Airway Heights. Should be good times. That's about all I have for today. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Parking Wars

So it all started on Halloween. I was at a party partaking in good times and consuming adult beverages. Lots of adult beverages. So later I had Joe pick me up. He did not go to the party as he had to work, but got off in time to be my designated driver. Anyway, as we arrive back home he mentioned that one of the neighbors keeps parking in spot. His assigned spot that was given to him when we moved in over a year ago. So in my slightly inebriated state decided that I was going to write a note and leave it on his car simply asking this person not to park there. And I did, Joe even proof read it before said placement.

The next day we went to go pick up my car. This neighbor had decided to put a post it on Joes window. I should also explain what my note said. It was very simple; This is reserved parking please don't park here, you will be towed. So his note read; Before you have me towed come talk to me in 24. Now I had no intention of towing anyone's car, I just said that so they would move. Well then Joe said that he wasn't going to park there anymore. Which led to us arguing simply because if he doesn't park there then my whole note was a waste of time and this tard thinking that he can just park wherever.

But moving on. The next day the neighbor was in Joe's spot again. Joe decided to call the manager. I should also explain that the manager was new and had only been living on site for a few days. When Joe called her she simply said that she would take care of it and kind of laughed it off. She also said that they were going to put numbers up in the assigned spots to avoid confusion. Apparently the neighbor had called and complained about my note, however I'm sure he conveniently forgot to mention the note he left. After a few days noting happens and this asshole neighbor continues to park in Joes spot. Now I know it's just a parking spot but it's the principal of the thing. This duchy neighbor has only lived there a month and we've lived there over a year. And this spot is closer to our apartment so it just makes sense that it would go to Joe and not the whiny bitch that lives in 24.

I came home one day and saw that they had painted 24 on Joes spot. Which is bullshit. Their way of dealing w/it was to just give the spot away. Seriously? And no other spots are marked besides that one and the manager. Every time I go outside I get pissed off. So now we want to move more than ever. Am I wrong on this? I mean I think it was handled pretty crappy. When we do move out I would like to leave the cat poop on his car as a going away present.

We were looking into buying a house but who knows. There's this slight problem of a down payment. And if you get a loan they expect you to pay it back. Sheesh greedy bastards. Either way I hope we can move sooner than later.
